Prodigy, at Brixton, just before Xmas...

Suffice to say it was loud, madcap and hectic.

Christmas Time 2008

The end of an incredibly complicated year...

It was the start of my surgery training, the end of a relationship, the buying of a flat and moving back into London.

It was the year of diving with turtles, reacquainting with friends, of going out, rejuvenation.

And to cap it all I went swimming in the bloody sea at Xmas and got an amazing camera as an unexpected pressie.

More piccies to come later - just realised that all my iPhotos are jumbled... Bugger!

T-Mobile Mobile Broadband on Mac OS X 10.5.5...

Don't even bother with the rubbishy wank web n' walk manager. It won't work.

However, just using network connect for the modem and plugging in the number *99# will in the UK!!!

Awesome, just took a while. And thanks to Helpdesk Simon - good work sir!

well now this is interesting... an attempted post via mobile!

Just been to the rugby Eng v Aus... England were a bit abject frankly, but hey, Cipriani is the next big thing... not if he places like that he's not!

Toby Flood looked awesome, but was that due to Cipriani being awful or Flood being good? who can tell!

Lack of blogging... New site and new life...

God it's been a long time. Much has changed. Much will still change. Things advance and yet we still have the debacle of the chuffing MMC and it's wasted hoardes of dillettantes...

ISCP the devils worksite

Oh my god I hate the ISCP site...

Designed by a kid with crayons, it sucks the very life from me.

WHY OH WHY could they not integrate the sodding ISCP surgeons log into it instead of attempting to botch their own?

especially as they should have bought elogbook, or even OOOTTA

New Bands...

The two new bands in my life are...

Scars on Broadway - awesome.

Toby Keane - awesome. Plus he's a fellow from my school.. who I actually know... awesome.

Hadouken, Koko 2008

Lucky enough to get a free ticket to see them as part of the iTunes festival on the 4th July...

Also playing were Does it Offend You, Yeah?

Now both are trying to offer 1980s game music, with a hard rock edge - a la Atari Teenage Riot. Neither are yet as good or as blastingly hard as ATR.

However, if you ever wanted a sign as to why British society is falling under the weight of irresponsible, greedy, annoying little buggers called teenagers, then Hadouken is the band for you. Like music for the jilted generation summed up the early nineties, music for an accelerated nation does it for the late noughties.

Problem is that the summation is:
Smoke, Drink, F*ck, Lie, Steal, Break things, and generally be ignorant of everyone and think your better than the rest when actually the teens tha tI saw there were a bunch of morons.

Felt like a bloody grandpa, and nothing the stupid chav front man of Hadouken said could I really relate to - I am not a thug. People are obviously keen to be thugs.

I on the other hand have spent my life avoiding the curse of the provincial military town - booze and underachievement...

New Tech Required...

I want a:

Macbook Air

and a pot of gold...

GTA 4, Burnout, Dead Rising, Mass Effect

These are all trying to take my time away from me...

GTA 4 hasn't had a chance yet as I've been playing Burnout and decorating...

so much easier to dip into burnout.

plus I want to play Pro Evo on the Wii...

XBOX 360 has landed - for free!

Plus it has come with Mass Effect, not Project Gotham Racing (which Pendulum contributed a track to the soundtrack of).

Strange but true!

New Job - Back to the mothership...

I have finally been told where my new job is...

It's in Vascular Surgery (General) which is my dream job. And at Hammersmith Hospital, which is also pretty close to my ideal of being a top dog at Charing Cross...

Little by little...

Pendulum - In Silica

Now I thought it was good when played live. Album is also wicked when stuck in a traffic jam. Fantastic stuff and well worth a purchase.

You have won... Pendulum tickets! YAY!

Oh my god.

Pendulum were awesome. And some of my friends didn't want to go. I will upload photos later. Only 250 people were there, compared to the 30,000 they played to the previous day. Just as loud though! Full thoughts later.

Rapidblog is my latest attempt to keep the damn site up to date - means that when I blog in blogger it shows up in Rapidweaver and when I blog in Rapidweaver it shows up here - double effect for your money!

Finally, ITU is picking up - plenty of stuff to do and plenty plenty lines to fit in...

XBOX 360 as a lovely prize...

I won a chuffing XBox 360 on XFM yesterday!  Also got tickets to awesome band Pendulum's album unleashing at Fabric in London.  How effing wicked is that?

Grand Theft Auto 4 here I come!

But seriously, how often do you randomly text in to a radio station and win something?  Not that often, surely.  Only happened twice in two attempts for me... I love XFM!  Plus the music is ace too.

I'll let you know what happens soon.

Moving in medicine again...

I move on Wednesday into the weird world
of ITU... God I'm not looking forward to minimal changes and nothing happening! Looks like it'll bee 3 months of a complete change of direction for me. We'll see...

But on the plus side I will get to write more of this!
